Trilon® chelating agents bind metal ions that would otherwise catalyze discoloration, oxidation, turbidity, and corrosion, or reduce the efficacy of a formulation over its shelf life. The three grades differ by salt form, which sets pH and solubility, and are supplied as a 40% aqueous solution and as powders.

Which Grade is Right for You?

Trilon® B Liquid
Tetrasodium EDTA | 40% active | Liquid | pH 11 to 12 | Soluble
The pre-dissolved alkaline grade. Removes calcium oxalate, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, and barium sulfate. Choose it for alkaline systems and where dosing a solution avoids a dissolution step.

Trilon® BS Powder
EDTA, crystalline | 99% active | Powder | pH 2 to 3 | Insoluble in water
The acid-form powder. Boosts the germicidal activity of quaternary ammonium compounds. Choose it for acidic systems or where it will be neutralized in situ.

Trilon® NA Food Grade
Disodium EDTA | 100% active | Powder | pH 4 to 6 | Soluble
The near-neutral food-grade powder. Controls trace metal ions responsible for catalyzing discoloration, oxidation, turbidity, corrosion, and texture deterioration. Choose it where a food-grade designation is required.
